For reference:

  • For golf, walking, running, bowling, we're using step counting device (watch / phone) with 58,070 steps equal to 1 Everest.
  • For swimming, 1km swam, = 13,500 steps.
  • For cycling,  1Km = 1,400 steps, or 1 mile = 2,253 steps.
  • For gym-based activities, that's tricker, however found info online to suggest calories burnt to distance, so 3,500 calories = 1 Everest.
  • For other gym-based exercise, like rowing, treadmill, skier, then distance and step equivalent is same as walking in terms of steps to distance, if people didn't want to use calories burnt.
